The Holy Qur'an offers the best guidance for preaching and propagating religion. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) exemplified this method of preaching throughout his life.
Known as the "unlettered" Prophet (PBUH), he dedicated his entire existence to promoting ethical principles and implementing divine laws, never losing hope despite the pervasive darkness of his environment. Ultimately, the Prophet’s (PBUH) relentless efforts succeeded in transforming a morally desolate society, breathing new life into a dispirited and fragmented people. The Prophet (PBUH) unified disparate and warring tribes into a cohesive nation driven by the promise of eternal life. The Prophet (PBUH) took the scattered, dim rays of enlightenment that touched individual hearts and focused them into a unified vision.
In contrast to many moral teachers throughout history who often fail to embody the ethical principles they advocate, the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stands out for its consistency and integrity. His fundamental principle was to be the first to practice and embody every good deed and reward he preached. Whenever he issued a command, he was always the foremost practitioner of it. In today's world, where there are numerous efforts to create controversy around the Prophet’s life, it is our responsibility to continuously work towards reviving and emulating his noble character. By doing so, we may stand before the Prophet (PBUH) on the Day of Judgment with pride and without shame, seeking his intercession. This paper explores the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) method of preaching through the lens of Qur'anic teachings.
