God, the merciful, has endowed humans with the gift of intellect and has provided esteemed guides such as Prophets and Imams, upon whom be peace. For Muslims, the Quran and the Ahlul Bayt (AS) are considered profound guides, and their love and adherence are deemed essential for salvation and success. Allah, the most gracious, has created humans in need of guidance and has designated His infallible Prophets, Imams, and divine scriptures as their sources of guidance.
Every society requires effective leaders, and the Quran offers a model of exemplary conduct for these societal leaders. This paper explores this Quranic lifestyle in detail, structuring the discussion into several sections: an abstract, introduction, concept analysis, and an examination of two primary aspects of leadership — individual traits such as faith, knowledge, and piety, and societal traits like justice and trustworthiness. The paper concludes with a comprehensive summary of the findings.
This topic holds significant relevance for our contemporary society. As Islamic societies face various challenges and decline in different domains, their leaders are similarly affected. By aligning their ethics with Quranic teachings and cultivating the necessary qualities for personal improvement, leaders can substantially contribute to societal enhancement. When leaders embody these principles, they can elevate their nations and societies, leading them toward becoming among the best globally.
