Allah Almighty created the universe and settled human creature in it. He equipped this creature with thinking and then created a society to fulfill this need. All people live together in this society and support each other in time of need. In this society, Allah Almighty revealed some rules and regulations for living. However, with the passage of time, these rules and regulations have changed. Need for new rules and regulations was felt to create a new society. This article draws a comparison between the ways of life of Jewish and Muslim societies in order to find out what were the rules of life prevalent among the past People of the Book and whether these People of the Book still have these rules, today. The second thing is why the need for new rules was felt when these rules were already prevalent? The last thing is what are the commonalities between the past (Jewish) rules of life and today's rules of life?
