The general system of thought and morality offered by Islam cannot be confined to the adherents of any particular group, school-of-thought and religion. The basic tenets of Islam, its concept of the universe and humanity, and its global perception of law are universal and comprehensive. The same is true for the Islamic moral system. The Islamic doctrine of human equality, the teaching of Islam about freedom of belief and religion, and the concept of human dignity encompass both Muslims and non-Muslims. Similarly, the command to speak the truth and to refrain from lying is obligatory for everyone. It is important to keep the pledge, whether it is made to a Muslim or a non-Muslim. Adherence to the agreements fall in this category. Islam does not allow oppression on anyone and does not discriminate between Muslims and non-Muslims. So is the testimony. Islam asks for adherence to the true testimony no matter it harms a Muslim and benefits a non-Muslim. Human beings have mutual rights. Islam does not take into consideration anyone’s religion when it comes to mutual rights of human beings, better treatment with parents and rights of neighbours. The injunctions of the Qur'an, in this regard, are universal. The Muslims do not have the right to do discrimination against non-Muslims while applying these injunctions.
