Islam is the only religion that invites mankind to earn money and make a living for the family, because it (the family) is the nucleus of any good society and the success and advancement of any society in the world is dependent on its core. Some benefits of earning income through just means are: 1) “Whoever lives on Halal earnings for forty days, God shall enlighten his heart.” [Bihar al-Anvar, vol. 53, p. 326 by Maulana Muhammad Baqir, Al-Majlisi]. 2) Receiving the protection of God: “If what you eat is Halal and pure, I will protect you” [Mafatih al-Hayat, p.589 by Ayatollah Javadi Amoli,]. 3) Acceptance of Prayer: Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) says if you want your prayer to be accepted and fulfilled by Allah, make sure your income is Halal and pure [al- Daawat, p. 24]. 4) Receiving God’s glory and honor on the Day of Judgment [Kanz al-Ummal, vol. 14, p. 249].
