Right from the beginning of his creation, human being was desirous of love and friendship and living a collective life, running away from estrangement and solitariness. This is the reality too that the essence of living a collective life is an inborn instinct and making constant and untiring efforts towards this end is a natural process. Islamic unity is also part of this forward movement. It is this unity under the shadow of which the righteous servants of God representing Ummat-e-Wahida (united Ummah) will be able to establish Allah’s government on earth. It is for this very government that the prophets were sent to mankind by Allah with the message of monotheism to prepare the ground and serve as the vanguard. For the sake of establishing this government, the saints and holy men had been stressing all along to maintain unity and solidarity. It is because of this unity that the world had acknowledged the superiority and greatness of Muslim Ummah in the past and this very unity can salvage Muslims from the present state of doom and gloom.
