Ayyamillah (the days of Allah) refer to the happenings and events in the past due to which Allah bestowed a blessing upon a particular nation on account of their good deeds or sent down a punishment on the people as a result of their evil actions. These happenings and the days in which they took place need to be remembered. People will be encouraged to do good whenever the Ayyamillah and the favours bestowed by God in these special days will be brought to mind. Similarly, the recollection of those days in which people were punished for disobeying God will press them to refrain from the deeds that brought wrath of God in the past. The purpose of remembering the Ayyamillah is to create a divine society by conveying the message of God to the people and disseminating Islamic teachings in these special days. It is worthy of note too that Ayyamillah don't only refer to the days that have passed, but if any event takes place in any age and the Divine message gets widely known by virtue of it, leading a large number of people to know about Islam falls in the category of Ayyamillah as well.
