Abstract
Allah (SWT) divided human beings into different clans (shaoob) and tribes (qbail). The Holy Quran clarifies that the purpose of this division is nothing but the recognition of each other. It further identifies that, in this context, for Allah (SWT), piety (taqwa) is the only base of superiority. Therefore, His commandment that “and, (O Esteemed Beloved,) warn your close relatives (of Our torment)” is also based upon the idea of recognition. To further elaborate it, the understanding of this idea can be further divided into four dimensions: It can be used for the recognition of clans and tribes in genetic sense. It can be used to identify some specific hereditary qualities that can either be good or bad. It also clarifies that some people out of shame relate themselves to the superior families. Finally, this tribal proximity can result in committing the taboos. Present paper argues that in the modern time, people alter their identity due to negative characteristics of tribes and clans which can play a vital role in deformation of family system in the society. Furthermore, it also identifies that there is a danger of spreading the atmosphere of injustice in the society.
