Abstract

What is obligatory upon the teacher and the student is that each of them, in the context of learning and teaching knowledge, should make his intention pure for God, since actions depend on intentions, and because of this intention, sometimes a person's actions become worthless like scraps, and sometimes they become such exquisite gems that their value cannot be estimated, and sometimes this action becomes a burden for the one who does it, which is written in the list of his sins, even if it is among the obligatory ones. Therefore, it is obligatory upon each of the teacher and the student to perform his actions with the intention of pleasing God Almighty and obeying His command, reforming his soul, and guiding people in their religious affairs, and not to gain worldly wealth and position through this action. He should not have evil intentions such as fame, distinction among people, pride and exaltation among friends, etc., because such evil intentions lead to deprivation of divine help and His displeasure, and also lead to loss of eternal life and blessings in the Hereafter, as a result of which this person with evil intentions will become the embodiment of this verse.
