Abstract

This article presents a research review of the mutual relations, duties and moral responsibilities of the teacher and the learner in the light of the Quranic way of life. The purpose of religious education is not only the acquisition of information but also the all-round training of a person based on self-purification, sincerity of intention and righteous deeds. In the Quran and Sunnah, knowledge has been declared as worship for both the teacher and the learner, and intention has been made the axis of actions. The article makes it clear that the duty of the teacher is not only to teach but also to train, build character and guide the students spiritually and morally, while the student is required to adopt sincerity, respect, patience and humility in the acquisition of knowledge. The research shows that when both the teacher and the student perform their duties with pure intention, action, piety and good morals, not only does knowledge become blessed, but society also becomes a cradle of justice, love and spirituality. According to Islamic teachings, the relationship between knowledge and education is not just a worldly profession but is a means of worship and closeness to God. The purpose of this article is to present the relationship between teacher and student as a divine trust, highlighting the Quranic principles of teaching and learning, so that Islamic society can be built on the foundation of knowledge, morality, and faith.
